Oehlert Biogeochemistry Lab
The Oehlert Lab is a research group in the Department of Marine Geosciences at the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Sciences at the University of Miami. Our research integrates sedimentological, geochemical, and geobiological perspectives in order to better understand how biogeochemical cycles have changed throughout Earth history. We use biogeochemical datasets to help constrain the physical, chemical, and biological processes that drive changes in Earth’s environment throughout geological time.
